Privacy & Cookies

Last updated: July 2026

This page explains, in plain terms, what happens with your data when you visit Silentium Radio.

Hosting & server logs

Like virtually any website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information for every visit (e.g. IP address, browser type, the page requested, and the time). This is standard server behavior used for security and troubleshooting, and isn't used to build a profile of you.

Live chat (Discord / WidgetBot)

The live chat on this site is powered by WidgetBot, which embeds Discord content directly. Loading that embed means your browser makes a request to WidgetBot's and Discord's servers, which may set their own cookies or local storage under their own privacy policies — this happens independently of this website. If you'd rather not load it, you can visit our Discord server directly instead.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly analytics to see approximate visitor numbers and which pages/events are popular. This does not use tracking cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not build individual visitor profiles — it only reports aggregated, anonymous statistics.

What we don't do

Your local settings

Your chosen player volume is remembered in your browser (via localStorage) purely so it doesn't reset every visit. This stays on your device and isn't sent to us.
